Born in Beijing, China, Richard moved to Calgary, Canada at the age of four.
Richard has spent most of his life in Canada, but he wanted a change of scenery. So, after graduating from Western Canada High School, he went to the University of Pennsylvania where he dual majored in computer science at University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Science as well as business at the Wharton School of Business.
At Penn, Richard debated during his freshman year. He highly encourages others to participate in debate as well.
Richard also played Sprint Football during his sophomore and junior year.
He lives in New York City and currently works at Evercore.
