Ryan Cao is a rising senior at Western Canada High School in Calgary, Canada. With a small background in the stock market, Ryan decided to compete in The Lost Canadian’s first ever BeatTheStreet Stock Market Simulation.
During the simulation, competitors worked in teams of three to invest in stocks from around the world with the base salary of $1,000,000. Furthermore, competitors also worked with college students currently engaged in the world of economics to gain a better understanding of what it is truly like to work on Wall Street. Ryan was the leader of his team.
At the end of the competition, Ryan’s team ended up with more than $2,800,000 in funds.
During his free time, Ryan enjoys playing badminton and studying school topics that he finds interesting, especially math.
